Social Media Manager

Alice & Wonder is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic content creation and social media team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in planning, implementing, managing, and monitoring both Alice & Wonder and Mini Wonder’s social media strategy in order to increase brand awareness, improve marketing efforts, and drive engagement with our target audience. The Social Media Manager will collaborate with the owners, creative and digitial team to contribute to the overall success of our organization.

What you’ll do:

Strategy Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with each of our brand’s goals and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate those trends and tools into the social media strategy.

Content Creation:

  • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) across social media platforms.
  • Develop engaging and shareable content that encourages audience interaction.
  • Ensure brand consistency in all social media content.

Platform Management:

  • Manage and oversee social media accounts on platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok and Facebook.
  • Stay informed about platform algorithms, features, and best practices.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster a sense of community and engagement with the audience by responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Monitor conversations and address customer concerns or feedback promptly.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Provide regular reports on key metrics, insights, and trends.
  • Adjust strategies based on data to optimize performance.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, communications, and other teams to align social media efforts with overall marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with influencers, partners, and other stakeholders to expand reach and engagement.

 What you got:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Three to five years as a Social Media Manager or similar role. 
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. 
  • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics.
  • Knowledge of market trends and industry best practices. 
  • Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong work ethic with a need to pursue challenging projects and knack for problem-solving.
  • Ability to think outside the lines, finding value in unexpected places.
  • Copes with change effectively and shifts gears comfortably.
  • Speak up and be willing to be the only champion for an idea.

Alice & Wonder is a Chicago-based shop curating pretty fun things for the contemporary gal-on-the-go. The pieces we offer are the hard-to-find gems that we saw and couldn’t live without. Joining our team will provide you the opportunity to experience the many facets of running a small business first-hand. This position will not only be vital in running the day-to-day of our buying process but also will partner with the owner and shop Managers to increase profitability and grow the business. We are looking for a staff member to be engaged and connected with the brand. We are a female-lead team who believes in doing what you love and having a pretty fun time while doing it.
